Founded in 2016, the Hors Concours Prize is awarded each year to the author of a French-language novel or narrative, published by an independent publishing house. It offers its reading committee a journey through contemporary, creative, and independent literature.

The Académie Hors Concours team will be present at the major international fairs in 2026: Delhi World Book FairDelhi, Chennai International Book Fair, Jaipur Literature Festival, the Bologna Book Fair, the Paris Book Market and Frankfurt Buchmesse.
